let go
I awoke this morning with a powerful quote resonating in my spirit that I wanted to share with you. It’s about change and letting go. Have you ever made a decision to make a change but found yourself right back doing the same thing and dealing with the same old stuff? Same people? Same behaviors? Same results? Just same old stuff but a different day?In order to change, you must first let go…More than likely you did not truly let go of what was causing you to stay stuck in that same “old place.”  Or maybe you did let it go for a period of time but you reached in your “Let It Go or It’s Going to Bite You in the Behind” cabinet and grabbed it right off the shelf.Trust me…I will be the first to say that I have been back in my cabinet. I didn’t feel real good about it. Regardless of my dismay, it certainly didn’t stop me from taking it back.Well here’s the quote for your reflection this morning.

“There is a great change to be experienced once you learn the power of letting go. Stop allowing anyone or anything to control, limit, repress, or discourage you from being your true self! Today is yours to shape–own it–break free from people and things that poison or dilute your spirit.” ~Dr. Maraboli

Can you relate to these words? Do you know others that could relate to this profound quote? I know I can.  I have been in situations where changing certain things in my life was required in order for God to do that “new” thing” in my life.

I am reminded of Isaiah 43:18,19…

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Yes change can hurt down to the core of our soul. Yes change can be uncomfortable. Yes change can be scary. However, it does not take away from the fact that letting go creates great change and better prepares you for that “new thing” God wants to do in your life.

Reflection Time:

What areas in your life has God revealed to you that you need to change to receive what you know in your spirit He has just waiting for you?  What actions are you willing to take to “Make it Happen”? What will you do tomorrow?  What did God tell you He would do in your life if you made that change?

As you know I love hearing from you.  Feel free to share what resonates.

Remember to “Make It Happen…Unapologetically.” God has already given you the permission and everything you need. Consider 2 Peter 1:3.
